The mushroom season is on its way
Chanterelles – grab them now. The mushroom season is on its way. Now you can find them at markets and in the stores. Chanterelles are my favorite mushrooms. Simply prepared, they taste especially good to me. Served on a slice of bread and dinner is ready. A quick and easy recipe, so grab the chanterelles now. The Chef’s Handyman team also thinks it’s great.
Chanterelles on toast
Heat a little butter and olive oil in a frying pan. Clean the chanterelles and halve them if necessary. Steam them in the pan for a few minutes until they are soft. Season with salt and pepper and add chopped herbs. Place toast or toasted dark bread on a plate and spread the mushrooms on top. Enjoy immediately.

- 400-500 g chanterelles
- garden herbs (parsley or chives)
- olive oil and butter
- salt
- pepper
- bread, toast
